Meningococcal Disease Protection for Students

Updated: Jan 15

Did you know that FREE vaccines are available for 13 to 25-year-olds in close-living situations, to protect them from Meningococcal disease?

This is really important for young people who will be living in places like boarding schools, hostels, university halls of residence or even military barracks.

Meningococcal disease can develop rapidly, become deadly in just a few hours, and cause long-term serious health issues for those who recover.

Two different vaccines are required to ensure protection against the five main strains of Meningococcal disease. One of those vaccines requires two doses, with a two-month gap between them.

So please encourage your friends and whaanau to get protected as soon as possible by booking in to see one of our friendly nurses.

Open 9am - 5pm Mon-Fri
